The
Metz Mesa Mission of 2004 began with a flight into Las Vegas. Many cool
landforms were seen from the air, some new places
we were going, others were places I'd been before. These were shot on a
Nikon 2 megapixel digital camera and processed through Adobe Photoshop
7.
All
views are towards the south, as I was sitting on the port side of the
aircraft.

A view of the confluence of the Colorado River, coming in
from the left, and the Green River, coming up from the bottom.

A small portion of Lake Powell, the reservoir that backs up behind Glen
Canyon Dam.
A formation in Capitol Reef National Park called the
Waterpocket Fold, which runs the length of the park.
An arm of Lake Mead, which backs up behind the Hoover Dam.
Hoover Dam can be seen in the upper left. The "bathtub ring"
on the canyon walls indicates how low the reservoir is.
