Metz Moose Mission 2005
Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

6x17 panoramic of the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River.

I am particularly impressed at how my digital camoflage pants disappear against the rock wall.

How does it know where I am?

Two views from the Brink of the Lower Falls. The waterfall makes a LOT of noise.

Jessica delights in adjusting Marc's wardrobe. Marc is remarkably unfazed.

We saw this rig in the town of West Yellowstone, Montana. The tour company uses
it for winter tours of the park. I wonder if I can get a set of tracks for the Jeep?

We left Yellowstone with heavy hearts, as, alas, we failed in our quest to find a moose.

Once we left Yellowstone, we headed south back towards Salt Lake City and the inevitable return flight home.
We stayed in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and had dinner at an Outback Steakhouse. I asked the server for "as much
butter as the State of Idaho allows" on my baked potato (hopefully from Idaho as well.)  This is what I got.
I was quite impressed (and no, I didn't eat all that butter.) The New York strip was pretty tasty, too.

Speaking of seared flesh...

Once we made safely to Salt Lake City, we found the nearest theater showing
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, which had just come out that weekend.
It made for a great visual dessert at the end of another wonderful vacation.
