Painting

The hull was first primed with regular ol' Krylon primer. The metal
pieces were my main concern.

After the primer dried, the hull got a nice coat of Field Green.

After the Field Green dried, the lower surfaces got quick little blasts
of Dark Tan to emulate a layer of dust.

I kept the airbrush pointed downward, as dirt would accumulate on upper
surfaces more than lower ones.
I attached the wheel hubs to a piece of adhesive floor tile
to hold them down for painting. After
I fitted the tires, I gave them all a good coating of dirt and dust.
More weather will be added later.

Assembled slat frames, awaiting paint.

Strykers in Iraq get extremely dirty. Most of the upper surfaces were
coated in dirt, mainly from boots.
The reference photos I had all showed a lot of dirt built up around the
upper hatches and flat surfaces.

I attached the tool rack assembly to the side of the vehicle, then
splattered it with Dark Tan paint.
